A collection, Magician (1996).

Many stories broadcast by RTE, BBC and the BBC World Service.

Stories published widely in anthologies and the press.  A sampling:  New Dubliners, The Irish Times, London Magazine.

Various awards.  A sampling:  the Francis MacManus Award and the Hennessy Award.

A novel, unpublished (so far!), Danny Huggett.

The story, What Big Teeth, was made into the film, Forgetting Aphrodite.

Memoir

BLUNT TRAUMA was published in Ireland (2005) and Canada (2006).  On 2 September 1998 a cockpit fire sent Swissair Flight 111 plunging into the Atlantic off the coast of Nova Scotia with the loss of all 229 souls on board.  Set in Dublin, New York City and Nova Scotia, this is an account of how one family’s life was shattered by that tragedy.

Plays

In November 2014, three short plays performed at  The National Gallery of Ireland as part of a season of new plays based upon paintings in the Gallery:  Blue; Mother and Child; Lady on the Terrace.

Broadcast by RTE Radio:   The Chiropodist; Lift Me Up and Pour Me Out; The Rise and Fall of Commissioner Zidler; The Road to Revolution; Love Nest.

Broadcast by BBC Radio:  a play for schools about the Irish author and traveller, Beatrice Grimshaw.

A stage version of  Lift Me Up and Pour Me Out performed in Germany.  Travellers’ Tales performed in Northern Ireland.

Readings at the Pavillion Theatre, the Peacock Theatre, the Irish Writers’ Centre, The Project Arts Centre.

Awards:  Mobil Ireland Playwriting Award; Best Play, Listowel; O.Z. Whitehead.
